MUSIC & MOVIES - Grammy's honor 2009 Top Picks

As we all know movies would be nothing without music. In fact, our lives as we know them would not have the same zest without music. Can you imagine entering an elevator with no music playing....disaster! This years picks are once again all of the usual suspects. It seems that the voters go out of their way to pick winners either because they want to be politically correct, or there's peer pressure...who knows it's always a mystery when a band like Cold Play wins. And Blake Shelton for best male Country singer...give me a break! He barely could hold the vocals while singing his pre-recorded Michael Buble' "Home" song. It seemed like they used the exact arrangement that Michael used and then some savvy country producer out in Nashville said.."we's needs to add some banjo and fiddle to this puppy and it'll be perfect!".

Oh well. It will be nice one day when it's actually the American people that pick. Oh but hold on, the American people did elect Bush...TWICE.

Anyhow take a look at the list of winners and see if any of your favorites hit the jackpot.

When it comes to music in movies, the music can really make or break the film. Our hats off to all the winners in the scoring movie music categories.

When you are planning you next film, make sure you don't forget this very important part of your vision. Hire a great Music Supervisor. And if you need some good tracks at a great price, contact our friends over at Universal Music Publishing Group. Scott there would be happy to help you out getting the right music for ytour film.

Make sure you tell them the IFA referred you.

Happy filmmaking.....
